Sunshine, Where Art Thou?

Assalaamu Alaykum dearest sisters,

فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۙ

Allah swt has blessed us dearest sisters. Yes, adversities exist. Life is complicated. We have shortcomings and we don’t always get what we want. But one promise to you dearest sisters…. everything we have and everything we are is bil khayr…  for the best and we have the potential to use that to become even better in sha Allah. One powerful catalyst to becoming better is keeping shukr to Allah swt.

Dearest sisters, we sometimes feel down about our situations. This is normal. It’s not a deal breaker with Allah swt that if we are down we get cast off in the wind. It’s a reminder – – to be more grateful, to do more aml, to tighten the reins a bit, and to  look to Allah swt for all of the blessings He’s bestowed on us even though we didn’t deserve any. We have blessings others don’t have, and why is this?  There is no explanation other than our Rabb is so merciful and He’s charged us with different tasks and tests in our lives.

If we think we’re living in dark days – just know – behind the clouds the sun is still there. The clouds shall pass. Even the longest monsoons finish.

But, even if the monsoon doesn’t finish, you know what?  We are human and Alhamdulillah by virtue of our human-ness… we’re able to live and adapt. فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِۙ

Through the good and through the difficult, keep gratitude at the tip of the tongue and nourishing the heart. Even if the clouds don’t go away… Allah swt will help us live with them in peace.

much love and dua, requesting yours

wassalaam ma’al ikraam
